Your photo stays on your device
The camera, the checks, and the crop run in your web browser. Your photo is not uploaded to our servers, and we do not store it. To check the rules, the browser measures the position of your face, eyes, and head. These measurements stay in your browser, are not stored, and are deleted when you close the page. We do not create face templates, and we do not use your photo to identify you or to train any model.
While you pay, the browser keeps your photo in its own session storage, so that it is still there when you come back from the payment page. The browser deletes it when you close the tab.
What we collect
- Payment: Stripe and its Link service process your payment and receive your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. We receive the order details from Stripe, not your full card number. See the Stripe privacy policy and the Link privacy policy.
- Usage: anonymous counts of steps in the photo flow (for example "photo checked" and "payment started"), without cookies and without any photo or face data. We use them to find where the flow is hard to use.
- Support: the emails you send us.
What we never collect
- Your photo or any image of you.
- Biometric identifiers, such as face geometry, on our servers.
- Advertising cookies.
